Birmingham Country Club Wedding

I sat patiently in the lobby, waiting for Claire, her mom, and Ariel to meet me for their venue walk through. It had been years since I shot a Birmingham Country Club wedding and wanted to see it since the remodel. Months earlier, Becky and I photographed their cousin’s wedding and loved working with the families. Needless to say, we were excited to do it again!

When Claire and Ariel walked in, it was easy to spot them: holding hands, smiling widely, and a warm, kind glances flashed between them. With that, I knew we would create beautiful images that captured their love on their wedding day.

Their wedding truly was perfect: surrounded by supportive friends and family, a comfortable Michigan afternoon, and gorgeous backdrops, you couldn’t ask for more. Claire and Ariel got ready and held their ceremony at the iconic Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester, Michigan.

The day was sprinkled with many special and memorable moments, like sharing a first look with her dad and her bridesmaids.

After Claire was done getting ready, it was Ariel’s turn. The dark and golden tones of the dining room was the perfect compliment to Ariel’s timeless look.

Next, it was time for the ceremony. Claire and Ariel picked the Pegasus Gardens as the backdrop for their ceremony.

Talk about an entrance! Claire grabbed everyone’s attention when she entered into the courtyard.

While guests enjoyed tours of the mansion, we utilized the grounds for some beautiful photo opportunities.

As our time at Meadow Brook came to an end, we headed to their Birmingham Country Club wedding reception. Again the grounds provided more places to shoot than we had time for! Every spot Claire and Ariel stopped at created frame-worthy images.

Towards the end of cocktail hour, Claire and Ariel joined their family in friends. Meanwhile, we snuck into the grand ballroom to photograph the details of their Birmingham Country Club wedding reception.
