DAC Pontchartrain Wedding

Yvonne and Carey’s picturesque DAC Pontchartrain Wedding was a stunning affair that marked the beginning of the fall season. The heartfelt exchange of vows between Carey and Yvonne took place on September 7, surrounded by their loved ones. Following the joyous ceremony, a splendid reception unfolded, brimming with love, joy, and many moments of laughter and dancing.

When we arrived at the Detroit Athletic Club, Carey was eagerly waiting for Yvonne’s arrival so they could share a first look. While waiting, we used the grand main lobby of the club to take some stunning portraits of Carey.

We then encountered Yvonne on the main staircase. She was radiant and thrilled to see Carey, so we positioned them and let their first look unfold. It was an intimate moment for the two to share, a true testament to their love.

After our time at the Detroit Athletic Club, we captured some beautiful photos in various scenic spots around the city. The weather was perfect, with the crisp air and colorful foliage creating a picturesque backdrop. Yvonne and Carey were particularly grateful for the pleasant weather, allowing them to pose for outdoor shots while feeling completely at ease.

After spending some time in the city, we returned for their DAC Pontchartrain wedding. Carey and Yvonne were all smiles and completely calm, excited to exchange their vows. Yvonne walked down the aisle with her daughter, and the moment was so special. Their bond can be felt in these photos, especially the one I captured right before they walked down the aisle. They were waiting while holding hands, and it made my heart smile.

Following their touching ceremony, we made our way to the reception space. The reception area was filled with the warmth of family and friends, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere for the cocktail hour with Yvonne and Carey. It’s not often that newlyweds get to mingle during their cocktail hour, but for Yvonne and Carey, it was a meaningful priority. They were eager to be fully engaged and savor every moment with their loved ones.

After the moving speeches and the delicious dinner, the much anticipated moment arrived—the start of the dancing! Yvonne and Carey graced the dance floor for their inaugural dance as a married couple. Before long, their daughters joined them, and together, they swayed to the music, creating a beautiful tableau of familial love and pride. It was an incredibly loving and unforgettable moment.

As the night drew to a close, we hurried up to the top floor of the DAC, eager to capture some beautiful moments on the balcony. It was a welcome opportunity to unwind after all the dancing and steal a few quiet moments for Yvonne and Carey. There, they shared tender kisses, exchanged countless smiles, and burst into fits of laughter.
