Detroit Riverwalk Proposal

This Detroit Riverwalk Proposal had been in the planning stages for a few months. Rio wanted to propose to his girlfriend Aleksa, but their busy lives challenged him to find the perfect moment. He was awaiting a job offer; she was graduating from law school, and he also had travel plans to Albania. Despite these commitments, Rio was determined to make this special moment happen.

When we met with Rio in July to search for potential locations in Detroit, he expressed a desire to incorporate the city skyline into the proposal. After exploring various spots, we settled on the Riverwalk, an area that seamlessly combined the urban skyline, the calming presence of water, and ample open space for the proposal. Rio was convinced that this place was ideal for the occasion, and he was prepared to conjure a few white lies to persuade Aleksa to join him over the coming weeks.

After a few date changes, Rio settled on September 19 for his Detroit Riverwalk proposal. As the golden hour cast its warm glow upon the city, we were thrilled to see Rio and Aleksa approaching us. It was a stroke of luck that we captured the proposal so quickly as the sun was setting. The engagement gods seemed to be in our favor, and we received nothing but pure joy and excitement on Aleksa’s unsuspecting face.

As the enormity of the moment settled in, Aleksa and Rio were eager to connect with their parents via FaceTime to share the news. The joy and excitement were palpable as Aleksa proudly displayed her exquisite ring and beamed with genuine happiness. Witnessing their joy, I couldn’t help but be moved by the sheer emotion of the proposal.
