Holy Name Catholic Church Birmingham Athletic Club Wedding

Saturday, November 25th, 2017

When I meet with Christine and Peter, she was very enthusiastic about my work.  She mentioned specific weddings, locations, and shots that I had taken.  Clearly she had done her homework.  It was impressive, but also a tad intimidating.  “Can I meet her expectations?” I thought.  It was mid-September and they were getting married in November!  There was still a lot of work to be done from the planning side of things…but that actually worked out to our advantage.  Rather than going with vendors who had the best marketing, I referred Peter and Christine to vendors who gave the best service.  In short, we pulled together a gorgeous and memorable wedding, with classy touches that perfectly complimented Peter and Christine’s personalities.  Holy Name Catholic Church, Birmingham Athletic Club Wedding

The day started off at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham.  Here, Christine got ready with the help of her girlfriends before heading out to meet Peter for some formals.  Birmingham has so many hidden backdrops around the city, we literally walked a few blocks and got all the shots we needed.  Holy Name Catholic Church, Birmingham Athletic Club Wedding

One of my favorite photos from the day was when “Hugo,” the 1949 Packard provided by Motor City Vintage Rentals pulled up.  Hugo adds so much elegance to any photo; you just can’t take a bad photo with it!  And what a special way to arrive to your destination on your wedding day.  Fingers crossed for good weather, I actually hope to use Hugo when I get married next week.    Holy Name Catholic Church, Birmingham Athletic Club Wedding

Once we arrived at Holy Name Catholic Church, it was an emotional ceremony.  The flower girl nearly stole the show as she handed out individual flowers to guests before Christine walked down the aisle.  Holy Name Catholic Church, Birmingham Athletic Club Wedding.

After the ceremony, we left for the Birmingham Athletic Club where Peter and Christine celebrated with the help of family and friends.
