Mink Engagement Session

Thank you for being here to witness Brian and Donna’s beautifully captured Mink engagement session in Detroit. Donna’s vision board for their lifestyle engagement session was a unique storytelling experience that Brian and I were eager to bring to life. This couple, who live in Detroit, had specific locations in mind for their session, and they also wanted their young golden retriever, Amelia, to join them, which added to the excitement, especially since Brian and I are total dog lovers.

We began the session at Mink, a cozy community gathering place located in the heart of Corktown. The venue has a charming, relaxed, and enjoyable ambiance, and they graciously opened their doors early for Brian and Donna, returning customers. From the moment we arrived, Mink treated us with great kindness. They let us capture their oyster preparation process and invited us to have some fun behind the scenes, making us feel part of it. When Brian and Donna arrived, they ordered fresh oysters and enjoyed a cocktail to celebrate their engagement session.

After leaving Mink, we went to the train station to incorporate Amelia into their engagement session. We strolled around leisurely, taking photos of Amelia with her adoring parents. She was delighted to be at the train station, happily frolicking in the expansive green area and eagerly picking up stray sticks. We loved our time with Amelia! She was a delight to photograph and was very obedient for a puppy.

We managed to capture a few shots of Brian and Donna at the train station. The weather was perfect, and the sunlight created striking shadows, resulting in beautiful and dramatic lighting for the photographs.

As we continued, it was finally time to hop on their vibrant Sprees and zoom around the city. Donna looked absolutely stunning on her red Spree, topped with a delicate white veil. It was the perfect combination, and her appearance brought so much joy that I couldn’t help but smile throughout the entire photo series.

The golden orange hues of the sun dipped below the city skyline, casting a warm glow on the bustling city street as we wrapped up our evening. With Brian and Donna’s home just a stone’s throw away, the conclusion to our day left us feeling deeply thankful for the chance to collaborate with such an extraordinary couple. Their kindness and authentic love infused every moment with warmth and significance.
