Rochester Hills Engagement Photography
I was shopping in a loud busy place when my phone rang. “Hi Brian, I was told by a friend to give you a call. She STALKS your work…I don’t know if you can on such short notice, but I would love it if you could shoot our engagement photos. We don’t have a set, so we would need to talk to you about that too!” Anytime someone begs you to squeeze them in, naturally your find time to. Shelby and Tyler had their engagement session on a brisk afternoon in Rochester Hills. When I spoke with Shelby during her engagement consultation, she mentioned that Tyler works as a fire fighter. “Perfect!” I thought. I was instantly reminded of a previous shoot I did with Jeremy, who was also a fire fighter, and Sarah. Anytime you can add a splash of color or personality to the shoot, I am down for it. We started our shoot at Van Hoosen Farm and museum before heading into downtown Rochester to photograph at the fire station.
Just in case you are a photographer, the photo above was shot with the Sigma 50mm 1.4 ART lens. This series of lenses is my absolute favorite! Tack sharp, even at 1.4. A hefty investment, but well worth it for the quality of the image. The image below was also shot with an ART lens, the 35mm 1.4.
Special thanks to the crew at the Rochester Fire Department for allowing us to use their truck. We are so thankful for your time and especially, what you do for the community. Rochester Hills Engagement Photography
