When Madison emailed me and asked if I would photograph her senior photos in Detroit, I asked her what she had in mind. She said she wanted something different and would be wearing something casual, something professional, and something dressy. I was intrigued by the professional outfit, as most seniors wear whatever is the latest trend. Madison, on the other hand, would be dressing for the job she wanted. I respect and admire that, especially since she wants to go into international business and marketing.
We started Madison’s senior photos in Detroit with a colorful overpass near the Lincoln Park Art Center before heading to one of my favorite spots in Midtown. Her first outfit was all about color.
After a quick outfit change, we headed over to the Campus Martius area to photograph her in her business attire.
For her last stop, we visited the Detroit Institute of Art, one of my favorite places to shoot more formal or elegant attire. The white marble backdrop and architecture is classic and timeless.
