St. Pauls on the Lake Grosse Pointe Wedding
Cristina and Armand had one of the most memorable weddings of the season so far. It wasn’t because it was over-the-top and drenched in opulence. Don’t get me wrong, it was beautiful and had a surprise or two built into the day (hint: think Italian sports car) but what made it most memorable was the fact that the whole day was laid-back and had an inclusive, family feeling to it. St. Pauls on the Lake Grosse Pointe Wedding
Cristina got ready with the help of her family and friends at her gorgeous Grosse Pointe home. The delicate elements of her classic Tudor reflected her personality: classy and elegant.
After Cristina was ready, we headed to St. Paul’s Catholic Church for their ceremony. The church is equally beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. Keep reading St. Pauls on the Lake Grosse Pointe Wedding.
Here, Armand got ready with the help of the beautiful architecture of St. Paul’s.
With guests patiently waiting, it was wedding time!
The ambient light in St. Paul’s was gorgeous and reminded me very much of the church I am getting married in, Saints Peter & Paul in Detroit.
After photographing at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, we went to my favorite spot for elegant formals, the Edsel Ford Mansion. Cristina and Armand had a St. Paul’s on the Lake Grosse Pointe Wedding.
I LOVE the architecture at the Edsel Ford Mansion. There are so many places to shoot, all within walking distance on the beautiful grounds.
Armand did have a surprise for Cristina on their wedding day. He got his hands on her dream car – a Ferrari! With an authentic Italian last name, arriving in an Italian sports car was the perfect surprise for Christina.
After our photos were done, we headed to May Ray’s on the water for their reception.
For me, this last photo is what photography is all about. Armand recently lost his father and made several references to him throughout the wedding day. His presence was clearly felt all day long. When he danced with his mom, his presence was felt one last time.
