Justin and Rachel got engaged in August at Disney World after their relationship began when they started teaching together. It’s rare for Brian and me to work with a couple that also works together! I mentioned this as soon as we met downtown. I said, “You both work together, team teaching sixth graders? How cool is that?!” We immediately felt a connection with Justin and Rachel and were excited for a fun and laid-back Capitol Park engagement session.
We began by having them spend time in Capitol Park. Observing them in a relaxed setting was enjoyable as they laughed, chatted, and embraced the moment. We were lucky Capitol Park was still full of fall colors, an excellent backdrop for these two. Rachel was also a trooper; the park had a few dog droppings that hadn’t been picked up. Thankfully, it did not ruin the moment or her shoes! LOL
Leaving Capitol Park, we set out for Michigan Central Station, a stunning architectural landmark in Detroit. The day was perfect, with bright sunshine illuminating the exquisite details and subtle grays of the station’s façade. The impressive structure seemed to come alive as we approached, casting long shadows on the pavement. We took our time to explore the surroundings, capturing a series of beautiful and timeless images that reflected the station’s historic grandeur, each photograph highlighting the unique beauty of this iconic site.
Thank you so much, Justin and Rachel! We truly enjoyed capturing the beauty of your Capitol Park engagement session. The vibrant surroundings and your radiant smiles made for some unforgettable moments. We can’t wait to be a part of your special day next year, and we wish you both all the best with another exciting school year!
