Trenton and Felicia had a joy-filled day celebrating their love at their Colony Club Detroit wedding.
It was hard bringing last year’s wedding season to a close. The year was one of my favorite and most memorable, simply because every couple, every wedding, was fun and stunning. We closed off the year with a bang and couldn’t wait to pick up our cameras again. Luckily, we didn’t have to wait too long – Trenton and Felicia were eager to get married and planned their wedding in less than a year. Their day reminded me of last year’s weddings – fun and stunning. Their Colony Club Detroit wedding was absolutely beautiful. The elegant architecture and tasteful floral was the perfect setting for their ceremony and reception.

Our day started off with a very excited vibe. Felicia and her bridesmaids all got ready at the Atheneum Hotel. I shot a wedding there last year and loved the lobby renovations. The white marble entrance compliments any bride’s white wedding dress.
After Felicia and her girls were ready, we headed out to the Colony Club, where Trenton and his groomsmen were getting ready. When we arrived, we found Trenton putting the finishing touches on a very special gift – a personalized Bible for Felicia. It deeply reflects the two loves of Trenton’s life: Felicia and God.
Trenton got ready downstairs with the help of his brother and friends.
When the rest of the groomsmen arrived, it felt like crew was back together. I wanted to give Trenton a photo that the Godfather would be proud of.
With both Felicia and Trenton ready, it was nearly time for their Colony Club Detroit wedding ceremony.
To make the ceremony extra special, Trenton’s dad presided over the event.
As guests filtered downstairs for cocktail hour, Felicia and Trenton snuck away for some photos of just the two of them.
After guests took their seats, it was time to invite in the newlyweds.
The speeches were heartfelt, funny, and emotional.
Once diner ended, the only thing left to do was celebrate. The Chateau Band started off the night and kept the dance floor packed all evening.
Special thank you to Carrie for the introduction to Felicia and Trent. It is always a pleasure to work with your family.
