Last year, I was photographing Stone’s senior photos. Between locations, Stone would walk and quietly chat with his sister Meadow. Today, it was her turn to step in front of the camera for her own Detroit senior photos.

When planning Meadow’s Detroit senior photos, she mentioned that she would like a mix of dressy, chic, and if possible, some nature. Our first attempt at photos got rained out so we rescheduled for a later date, which turned out to be perfect. On a cool and comfortable afternoon, I met Meadow at the Detroit Public Library to start, what would turn out to be, an epic Detroit senior photos session.
As soon as I saw Meadow walking up to me, I knew we would have to show off her shoes – the shoes! You can’t go wrong with a pair of red bottoms.
After our time at the Detroit Public Library, Meadow changed up her chic black dress to something a little more casual, but equally as stylish. Once I saw the outfit, I thought the arches at the Townhouse would be a perfect backdrop for this look. Meadow was a total natural in front of the camera, creating looks and images with ease.
The sun was starting to soften and we still wanted more of a warmer, city vibe so we headed to Parker’s Alley for her next look. It didn’t take long for Meadow to snap a few different looks before heading towards the Riverwalk for some golden hour photos.
As we arrived at our last stop for Meadow’s Detroit senior photos, the sun was just starting to set, casting a warm glow on a small field along the Detroit River. As we wrapped up the shoot, we looked in awe of the beautiful sunset taking place against the iconic skyline.
