On January 24, 2026, Stefano and Vita said “I do” on what turned out to be the coldest day of the entire winter, an unbelievable –20 degrees. The kind of cold that makes you question every life choice that led you outdoors. And yet, from the very first moment of the day, it was clear that no temperature could compete with the warmth, love, and energy surrounding these two. Their Detroit winter wedding day was the perfect reminder that when love is this strong, it radiates far beyond the weather.
Our journey with Stefano and Vita began back in November of 2024, when we had the absolute honor of photographing Stefano’s surprise proposal. That day was beyond meaningful; raw, emotional, and overflowing with excitement. Their reactions, their joy, and their connection were contagious, and we remember leaving that session smiling ear to ear. From that moment on, we knew their wedding day would be something truly special, and we were beyond thrilled to be the ones documenting it.
Wedding morning arrived crisp and bright, and Brian and I split up to capture both sides of the story. Brian spent the morning with Vita as she got ready at her parents’ home, documenting quiet moments, joyful anticipation, and the love surrounding her from the very start.

Meanwhile, I spent the morning with Stefano at his parents’ home, and his prep photos were a true depiction of who he is at his core. From the very start, the room was filled with contagious, humorous energy, the kind Stefano brings effortlessly wherever he goes. We documented the thoughtful, detailed moments as he got ready, balanced beautifully with meaningful family interactions that spoke volumes about how deeply loved he is. And then came the moment we entered the basement, where the energy shifted into full celebration mode. Cheers were raised with celebratory drinks, laughter filled every corner, and a little friendly dice rolling brought out everyone’s competitive (and playful) spirit. It was an absolute blast and the perfect reflection of Stefano’s spirit before heading into such a monumental day.

From there, we all gathered at Sweetest Heart of Mary for their ceremony, and what a ceremony it was. The church was filled with emotion from start to finish: hugs, tears, smiles, and cheers echoing through the space. Meaningful readings set the tone, Vita’s sister moved everyone as she sang Ave Maria, and having their family priest officiate made the ceremony even more personal. When they were finally announced as husband and wife, the eruption of joy was unforgettable, pure celebration, and the perfect kickoff to an epic day.

After the ceremony, we braved the freezing temperatures and headed to Michigan Central Station, the very place where Stefano proposed to Vita. Despite the cold, documenting that full-circle moment was a must. It was powerful, symbolic, and incredibly emotional to return to where their forever began. We captured more portraits throughout the city before warming up and heading to Villa Penna in Sterling Heights.

The night ended exactly as it should, with dancing, heartfelt toasts, and even more tears of joy. Stefano and Vita’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of deep meaning, family, tradition, and celebration. Cold weather and all, it was an honor to witness and document a love that truly kept everyone warm.

A heartfelt thank you to Vita and Stefano, and to their incredible families, for opening not only their homes but their hearts to us. Allowing us the distinct privilege of documenting such an intimate and meaningful day is something we will never take lightly. We truly left feeling like we were part of their family, and honestly, we didn’t want to leave. These two individuals have the biggest hearts, and working with them has been nothing short of a joy. We truly love them and are forever grateful to have been part of their story.
