Aviva and Drew’s Jewish wedding at the Harmonie Club, on December 28, 2025, in Detroit, Michigan, was the kind of celebration that reminds you why weddings matter so much: timeless, joyful, and bursting with personality. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this would be a formal affair that still knew how to have fun, bringing together family and friends from every generation for a day that felt both elegant and electric.

We began the day with preparations surrounded by loved ones, capturing quiet, meaningful moments as anticipation built. One of the most emotional highlights came during Aviva’s reveal to her dad and brother, an instant filled with pride, tears, and the kind of smiles that say everything without a word. Shortly after, Aviva shared her first look with her bridesmaids, whose reactions were pure delight and excitement, setting the tone for the rest of the day.

Aviva and Drew’s first look together was intimate and heartfelt, a pause in the day where it was just the two of them soaking it all in. From there, we moved into portraits at the Harmonie Club, whose classic architecture and refined interiors perfectly matched the black-tie feel of the wedding. Stepping out into the city, in the rain, for additional photos added a distinctly Detroit edge; old-world elegance meeting urban charm.

The energy truly ramped up during their tisch, one of the most spirited moments of the day. Surrounded by friends and family, the room filled with singing, clapping, and laughter as tradition and celebration collided in the best way. It was loud, joyful, and completely unfiltered, an atmosphere where generations came together, arms around shoulders, voices raised in song. The tisch set the tone for what was still to come, foreshadowing the incredible energy that would later spill onto the dance floor during the hora.

The ceremony itself was rich with tradition and emotion, honoring Jewish customs while feeling deeply personal to Aviva and Drew. Every glance, every smile, and every quiet moment under the chuppah reflected the love and respect they share, not just for each other, but for their families and heritage.

And then came the hora, an hour of nonstop energy that truly brought the celebration to life. The dance floor erupted with guests waving flags, wearing paper crowns and jerseys, and lifting Aviva and Drew high into the air on chairs as laughter and cheers filled the room. It was joyful chaos in the best possible way, a celebration that welcomed everyone in and kept the energy soaring.

Aviva and Drew’s Jewish wedding at the Harmonie Club was a perfect blend of formality, tradition, and unfiltered fun; a gathering of the ages that honored the past while celebrating the future. It was an absolute honor to photograph such a meaningful day at the Harmonie Club, and one we won’t soon forget.
