Matthaei Botanical Gardens Proposal

When Syed called me, I thought it was another spam number. “I don’t know anyone in Dallas” I thought to myself. That week I received a number of out-of-town calls from clients though so I figured it was worth a shot. “Hello, this is Brian” I said, waiting for a delay while the call routed to the first available telemarketer. Instead, Syed enthusiastically answered, “Hi Brian! You photograph proposals, correct? I am looking to propose to my girlfriend.” I was delighted. “Of course! Thanks for calling…” That call would be the first of many as we planned a beautiful Matthaei Botanical Gardens proposal for Syed and Liz.

Syed came in to town for Valentine’s Day and convinced Liz that they should celebrate with a photo shoot – a great excuse to get all dressed up. As Liz and Syed walked through the Gardens, seeing me with a camera wasn’t out of place. It wasn’t until Syed guided Liz around a corner and she saw the sign that she realized she wasn’t there necessarily for a Valentine’s Day photoshoot but rather a Matthaei Botanical Gardens proposal!

Liz’s reaction was so genuine and priceless.

While the proposal photo itself is beautiful and meaningful, I always appreciate the reaction and celebration photos that follow. Pure excitement and joy.

You can’t wipe that smile off of Liz!

After a few moments of celebration, Liz and Syed were ready for that Valentine’s Day shoot he promised…now as each other’s fiance!
