David and Alicia got married at Holy Name Catholic Church in Birmingham before inviting guests to an intimate Meadowbrook wedding reception.
It was the perfect Spring day as we drove to downtown Birmingham for Alicia and David’s ceremony. When we arrived at Holy Name Catholic Church with the sun shining and bright blue skies, we knew it was going to be a beautiful celebration. As we arrived early to set up and prepare for the ceremony, we were met the most excited and enthusiastic family and friends. There was such a feeling of love and excitement within the church it was palpable.
After the ceremony and family formals, we headed over to Meadowbrook Hall where their reception took place. Given the weather we knew we would be able to capture moments both indoor and outdoor. A Meadowbrook wedding is a favorite location of ours to photograph. There are so many areas rich in both beauty and history.
There were many moments between David and Alicia full of laughter. David’s ability to make Alicia laugh made for some of the most genuine and candid photos.
Up next was their cocktail hour right inside the entrance of Meadowbrook. As guests entered they were met with the option of touring Meadowbrook Hall or chatting with other guests while listening to the harpist play in the vestibule. The music filled the atmosphere until David and Alicia made their grand entrance.
David and Alicia’s Meadowbrook wedding was an intimate affair. They ensured their guests had an enjoyable time eating, socializing, and listening to live music in every room.
Before the dancing began, we pulled them outside for a few golden hour photos. It was the perfect opportunity to capture a little quiet time before the party. David and Alicia had no problem embracing the moment and embracing each other.
As they approached the dance floor it was quiet and then the intro to Ben Fold’s, The Luckiest started and there wasn’t a dry eye from the guests who watched Alicia and David dance as husband and wife.
