A Royal Oak Wedding Rooted in Love, Laughter, and Tacos
David + Becca | June 28, 2025 | Royal Oak Farmers Market Wedding
On a bright June day in Royal Oak, Michigan, David and Becca celebrated their wedding in the most meaningful way—by staying true to who they are and the city they love. Their day wasn’t about staging moments or checking boxes. It was about joy, connection, and creating a celebration that felt like them.
We started the morning at the Hyatt in downtown Royal Oak where David and Becca got ready, surrounded by family and close friends. Laughter echoed through the suites, tears welled up during gift exchanges, and excitement buzzed through every room as the day got underway. From there, we headed to the stunning St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where David and Becca exchanged vows during a heartfelt ceremony filled with smiles, emotion, and quiet glances that said everything.
After the ceremony, instead of rushing to the next big photo-op, David and Becca took the time to enjoy the little things. We spent the afternoon exploring some of their favorite spots around town—a casual drive through Royal Oak that felt more like a date than a wedding timeline.
Then came one of the best surprises of the day: Becca admitted she was starving. Without skipping a beat, we headed to Condado Tacos in downtown Royal Oak, where she grabbed a few gluten-free tacos and laughed with her new husband over them and a crisp Diet Coke. That impromptu taco break turned into one of our favorite parts of the day—pure, unscripted happiness.
After our taco break we stopped at a few other spots and even a spontaneous stop at their home. There, we took a breather and snapped some of the most personal photos of the day: David and Becca in their living room, curled up with their cats. No crowds, no posing—just the two of them in the space they built together, sharing a quiet moment before the celebration continued. It was calm, real, and completely them.
Finally, we made our way to the Royal Oak Farmers Market for the reception. The space was alive with energy—beautiful speeches balanced with laughter and tears, and a dance floor that didn’t let up once the music started. It was the kind of night where every guest felt like family and every moment felt full.
David and Becca’s Royal Oak Farmers Market wedding wasn’t just a celebration—it was a love letter to the life they’ve built together in Royal Oak. We were honored to be there to capture every heartfelt, joyful, perfectly imperfect moment.
