Last year, I had the pleasure of photographing Raylynn’s senior photos at some of Detroit’s most iconic locations. The session was one of my favorite senior photo sessions to date. When it came to Ava, Raylynn’s younger sister, she wanted to do something a little different. We bounced around some ideas but ultimately, our schedules were so busy at the beginning of the school year, that we didn’t reconnect until the leaves on the trees started to turn and fall. I was a little worried when we finally got Ava’s senior photos at Van Hoosen on the books; peak colors had already passed. Ava reassured me that it wasn’t a big deal and all she needed was a few pictures in nature. A few pics turned into three outfits and an incredible session. Ava is a natural in front of the camera. I was Becky’s first senior photo session and even she was getting into the poses, the looks, the backdrops, and was excited for what we were producing. In short, Raylynn may have some competition for my new favorite senior photo session!
Ava took her senior photos at Van Hoosen, a popular photography spot in Rochester, Michigan. The copper tones of the sun and falling leaves complimented her bronze skin and warm smile. No matter the look or outfit, Ava killed it. At the end of our session, we were already talking about scheduling another session to capture her at her happy place: the water. Stay tuned for that session! Until then, enjoy these senior photos at Van Hoosen.
I love this photo of Ava. It is the perfect combination of beauty, elegance, and confidence.
Anyone else picking up J-Lo vibes? Just me? Okay. Nevermind.
This image was one of my immediate favorites from Ava’s senior photos at Van Hoosen. Simple. Beautiful. Powerful.
