Solitude Links Wedding in Kimball MI

When Jill called me and asked about wedding photography, I had a flashback.  Years ago, I photographed her senior photos!  I couldn’t believe the years passed so quickly.  She was a beautiful person with a heart of gold, so I knew that the man who married her would be equally special.  (I was right.)  When I met with Jill and Tyler to talk about photographing their wedding, it was like getting together with old friends.  Catching up with Jill was nice, but meeting Tyler made me excited for their wedding and even marriage; he is that nice of a guy.  When Jill told me they were having a Solitude Links wedding, I knew I had to shoot it.  A few years ago, I shot another wedding at Solitude Links and loved all of the manicured landscape and nature there.  I knew that Jill and Tyler’s wedding would be no different.

We started the day with Jill and her bridesmaids getting ready at the nearby Double Tree in Port Huron.  It is a gorgeous hotel that offers spacious rooms for bridal parties to get ready in.  While there, Jill had something special planned for her twin sister.  I was lucky enough to be invited to capture that moment. Jill finished getting dressed at Solitude Links.  The ballroom was the perfect place for her to get ready with the help of her grandma.  Jill had a gorgeous Solitude Links wedding.

After the formals were done, it was time for the ceremony to start.  The weather was perfect for their outdoor ceremony.  Solitude Links wedding offer an outdoor ceremony space.

After saying “I do,” Jill and Tyler’s excitement was palpable. These quickly became everyone’s favorite images.

During their cocktail hour, we stepped away for a few minutes to photograph the newlyweds by themselves.  The bridge at Solitude Links was there perfect spot, and the perfect metaphor, for what just happened.

Afterwards, we joined everyone else and celebrated their Solitude Links wedding in style.
