We had the absolute joy of capturing Kate and Grant’s stunning wedding at The Treasury nestled in the heart of the Pontiac Historic District on September 6, 2025. This historic wedding venue, known for its grand ballroom and iconic vault filled with vintage safety deposit boxes, provided the perfect blend of elegance and uniqueness for this fun-loving couple.

Getting Ready

Kate and Grant met at Michigan State University, where their shared love for skiing, adventure, and laughter laid the foundation for a beautiful friendship that turned into a lifelong love. From the very beginning of their day, it was clear they weren’t just getting married, they were marrying their best friend.

First Look

As wedding photographers, we always hope to see couples truly present on their big day and Kate and Grant were exactly that. The Gathering

Kate looked radiant in her classic white gown, complete with a soft tulle veil and elegant pearl accessories. Grant, in a sharp black tuxedo, couldn’t keep his eyes off her and his smile said it all. Their full bridal party brought the fun, and every toast and dance felt like a true reflection of the joy these two bring to everyone around them. From heartfelt vows to the packed dance floor, every moment of this day was unforgettable.

The Ceremony

Their ceremony, held on The Treasury’s Mezzanine level, was one of the most meaningful parts of the day. With natural light pouring in from the arched windows and a view of the ballroom below, the space created an intimate atmosphere for such a personal moment. Their officiant and close friend, Mitch King, delivered a heartfelt ceremony, telling the story of how Kate and Grant met, fell in love, and grew stronger together over the years. The couple exchanged personalized vows, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. It was simple, elegant, and truly a reflection of who they are as a couple.
