Anna and Rob had a picture-perfect wedding at Detroit Opera House and St. Aloysius Church in Detroit.
I remember speaking to Anna and Rob about their wedding and having it resonate with me. They had a two-person bridal party and wanted the focus of the day to be on family, friends, and each other. This is what Becky and I did as well and I wouldn’t change a thing. My goal for every couple is for them to be present mentally and emotionally on their wedding day. Doing so allows them to embrace and enjoy the moment and make lasting memories. Judging from all of the smiles, I would say they did just that.

The day got started with Anna getting ready at the exquisite Detroit Athletic Club. Her dress was simple, elegant, and stunning! The dress completed the look, and the look complimented Anna’s personality. Throughout the day, she radiated.
After Anna was ready, she shared a first look with her dad before taking a few family photos.
With a few minutes left, we utilized the beautiful backdrops that the DAC provides for a few timeless portraits of Anna.
Nearby at the Element Hotel, Rob was getting ready.
One of the many nice aspects of their day was the how central everything was. St. Aloysius Church was a short walk from the hotel. By the time we arrived, guests were already mingling and reconnecting. Prior to the ceremony, it felt like cocktail hour with how jovial everyone was.
Guests took their seats as it was time for the ceremony to begin. The ceremony was made extra special as the priest was Rob’s uncle.
Outside, a beautiful day awaited Anna, Rob, and their guests. While guests made their way to the Detroit Opera House, Anna and Rob took a few photos in the city. First stop, the Detroit Public Library.
Next stop was their wedding at Detroit Opera House. The architure here is stunning and palatial, making images instant classics.
One of the aspects of Rob and Anna’s weddings I looked forward to the most was the rooftop reception. There is an added layer of experiential uniqueness as the sights, sounds, and even weather changes throughout the evening. Imagine dancing late into the night with a cool breeze and skyline illuminating your dancefloor! As Anna and Rob entered into their reception, guests were ready for them and this experience to begin.
After a few speeches and wonderful dinner, Anna and Rob shared a first dance.
Anna mentioned earlier in the morning that her dad had a surprise for her during their first dance. I was as surprised as she was when a flash mob joined them towards the end of their song to officially open the dance floor.
After much dancing and celebration, I noticed the evening sun was beginning to soften and glow. I snagged Anna and Rob for one more set of photos to remember their wedding at Detroit Opera House by.
