Wyndgate Golf Club Wedding
When Gina called me to talk about possibly shooting her wedding, I was excited and hopeful. She had a few ideas about her day, but was largely open to my artistic suggestions. Two things excited me the most. One was her attitude and focus: all she really cared about was Jeff and family. For me, that is the mark of a perfect couple to work with. When couples are more excited for the marriage than the wedding, the wedding will be filled with so many genuine and emotional moments. The second was the location of her first look and formal photos: The Wyndgate Golf Club in Rochester, Michigan. It is an exquisite club that is both regal and a hidden gem. While there are actually two clubs belonging to the Wyndgate Golf Club, one public and one private, we had access to the private club while it was closed, which equates to a photographer’s dream. Needless to say, I was excited for my first Wyndgate Golf Club wedding.
One of the several ballrooms at the Wyndgate Golf Club offered a perfect backdrop for Gina to get ready in. The soft ivory walls complimented her golden blonde hair and white wedding dress. 
Located on the grounds of the Wyndgate Golf Club is an old carriage house, which gave us some shade from the afternoon sun. It was the perfect location for an intimate first look between the bride and groom.
One of the landmarks of the Wyndgate Golf Club is their stone bridge, which allowed for some beautiful landscape shots as well as some private time for the bride and groom.
After their first look and formals, the families of the bride and groom met up with us at the Wyndgate Golf Club for some nature-filled formal portraits.
Naturally, leave it to the women to look gorgeous and the guys to be goofballs, right?
Following the ceremony, we quickly stopped at Blossom Heath Park in St. Clair Shores and photographed the bride and groom before celebrating with family and friends.
The champagne was chilled but the toasts were warm as everyone involved in Gina and Jeff’s lives were happy for them.
