Seventeen years ago, I decided to pursue a life-long dream of becoming a photographer. Next to marrying my wife Becky, it was the best decision of my life. Nothing has brought me so much joy, purpose, and passion as photography. I had a pretty crazy childhood: spending a year in Post-Communist Poland with nothing but my Dad's Nikon camera to help me pass the time, my love of photography started early. I still have a letter I wrote my grandma during my stay telling her that I was going to be a photographer when I grow up. My days of shooting black-and-white film taught me to get it right in camera, be patient, and wait for the decisive moment. Those lessons still shape how I shoot today.
If I can be honest, I am a person who longs for connection and appreciates beauty. That is why I only photograph things that I love and inspire me: proposals, weddings, people, and ballet.
In addition to being a photographer, I am also a high school teacher. I love connecting with students and teaching them the life lessons that have impacted me. Nothing brings me as much joy as seeing them pursue their dreams and succeed.
When I am not shooting or teaching, I love skiing, travelling, and cooking for friends and family. If you love Italian food or smoked ribs, let me know; there is always a seat at our table for you.

I have always been drawn to the visual and emotional aspects of life. My artistic journey began in London when I borrowed Brian's first film camera to document my studies abroad. Developing those images made me realize I was preserving memories. Our shared love of photography has evolved from assisting with weddings into my life's work, capturing significant moments and quieter milestones through my camera's lens.
Even within my family, I naturally take on the role of documentarian, capturing our cherished gatherings—from the joyous chaos of holidays to our annual family reunion. I’ve come to appreciate how invaluable photographs are as they preserve moments and the emotions and connections that bind us, creating a visual legacy of our love and history.
We truly appreciate your trust in us to capture and preserve these memories. Each photograph has the power to tell your unique story, allowing you and your loved ones to relive significant experiences for years to come. Thank you for including us in your journey.

Life certainly is beautiful and unpredictable. The two things I never saw coming in my life were wedding photography and Becky, yet, here we are! They are now the cornerstones and greatest blessings of my life.
When I was originally dreaming about becoming a photographer, I aspired to be a fine art travel photographer. During college, I spent 6 months living in Rome, Italy and travelled throughout Europe with a 35mm Minolta film camera in hand. Those photos are still some of my most favorite and sentimental images. Not because they are Ansel Adam's worthy, but because they captured my hopes and dreams of becoming a photographer.
Years later, a friend approached me and asked if I would be willing to shoot her wedding. Initially, I declined. That statue or building doesn't move; the bride does! was my original thought. However, she convinced me it would be a good time with great people. I reluctantly agreed. About halfway through the wedding, I found myself wiping away tears from behind the camera. I knew at that point I had found my calling.
Becky and I are high school sweethearts who serendipitously met not once, but twice! The first time was at a youth conference, where she was sitting on the ground listening to a boombox (yes, you read that right) that was playing Bob Marley. "You like Bob Marley?" I asked. "I like Bob Marley!" (Listen, no one ever said I was smooth.) By the end of the conference, she gave me her phone number on a piece of blue paper. In all of my excitement, I misplaced it and wondered for months whatever happened to her. Fast forward several months, I was volunteering at MYLead, or the Michigan Youth Leadership Conference. Who walks in representing their high school? Becky. The rest, as they say, is history.
Ever since, Becky and I have enjoyed life together. It is hard, or perhaps a bit awkward to publically to put into words, how interwoven our lives are. We are each other's best friends. We realized early on, we don't need much when we have each other. We value experiences and relationships more than things. Our phones are filled with pixelated selfies and images of random things, meaningless to other but reminders of memories to us.
She truly is my better half. We love sharing life, and most importantly, the simple, unplanned moments together. It only seemed natural then for Becky, who began by supporting my dream, then helping my dream, to finally join and shape our dream.
When we work with couples on their wedding day, it isn't just two people taking photos. We give and share ourselves, wishing life's greatest blessing - love - with you.
