Thomas met Keelin while in the Navy, and they have been together for years. When he called us months before the proposal, indicating how serious he was about proposing and demonstrating that he was a planner, typically those ready to take the next step and propose to reach out only a week or two in advance, Thomas stood out as an exception. During our conversation, he expressed interest in Detroit. As a result, Brian took him on a FaceTime tour of several locations, and Thomas was particularly excited about a Detroit’s Parker’s Alley proposal.
On January 2, we eagerly awaited Thomas and Keelin’s arrival at the charming Shinola Hotel, specifically in the quaint area known as Parker’s Alley. The winter chill hung in the air, and with temperatures hovering near freezing, the alley was surprisingly deserted, lending a tranquil aura to the surroundings. To keep ourselves entertained and warm, Brian and I broke into spontaneous mini-dance sessions, laughing as we embraced the moment despite the cold!
As the minutes passed, we frequently glanced at the entrance, our anticipation growing with each moment. Finally, when Thomas and Keelin arrived, their smiles brightened the cold day, creating the perfect atmosphere for celebration. We quickly took out our cameras to capture their entrance into Parker’s Alley and the joy of their proposal, ensuring that each moment was documented for years to come.
Congratulations, Thomas and Keelin, on your Detroit Parker’s Alley proposal! We wish you all the best as you celebrate the new year as an engaged couple. We can’t wait to see what 2025 brings for you two!
