It was an ideal September afternoon when we met with Karis for her Eisenhower High School senior photos. The weather was perfect – sunny and in the mid-70s, providing an idyllic setting for the photo shoot we had planned for Karis in Detroit.
Our first stop was the Detroit Institute of Arts, where the stunning white marble backdrop perfectly complemented Karis’ elegant black dress and stylish Christian Louboutin heels. Karis exuded confidence and ease at the DIA, making it the ideal location to kick off her senior photo session.
After leaving the Detroit Institute of Arts, Karis changed into a charming white matching outfit that perfectly complemented her style. As we strolled, we sought picturesque backdrops to showcase Karis’ ensemble. Brian’s keen eye caught sight of some elegant tall grass, prompting us to ask Karis to pose. Soon after, we stumbled upon a city staircase, and Karis embraced the opportunity for more photo opportunities. Our session led us downtown, where the Eisenhower High School Senior photos continued.
As we stepped into Parkers Alley, the soft twinkle lights cast a magical glow, a stark contrast to the dark brick buildings that served as a perfect backdrop for Karis’ attire.
For the following outfit change, Karis opted for a more relaxed and laid-back style. We seized the chance to incorporate the brick background and lush green vines, which resulted in a fun photo series.
Karis changed her outfit, and this incredibly stylish ensemble guided us to the Z lot, an exciting and diverse alley in the city adorned with vibrant murals in various fun colors, which we seamlessly integrated into her photoshoot session.
As the golden hour arrived in the city, we concluded Karis’ senior photo session by capturing her in a pale yellow sundress, basking in the beautiful sunlight. This outfit and location change were my favorite moments of the session. The lighting was perfect, and Karis looked so comfortable in front of the camera.
Congratulations, Karis, on your senior year! We wish you all the best at Eisenhower and hope this year is memorable!
