It is funny how things work out.  Lisa sent me an email, asking for my availability on her wedding date and my wedding packages.  After not hearing back from her for a few weeks, I reached out to her to see if there was anything I could do to help.  She responded with an incredibly warm, complimentary, and genuine email about my images and business, but didn’t feel like it was going to work.  I immediately picked up the phone, called her up and said, “Anyone who has been a fan of my work as long as you have and loves it as much as you do is someone I want to work with.”  You would have thought that I gave her a puppy with a big red bow on Christmas morning.  Her reaction was priceless.  Soon after, we met for coffee and started planning their fall engagement session.  Fall Engagement Session Rochester MI at Van Hoosen Farm.

Karl and Lisa decided to have their engagement session at Van Hoosen Farm and Museum in Rochester.  It is a great place to shoot with a wide variety of nature and backdrops all within walking distance.  Karl was in a particularly good mood as he just finished up his board exams.  What better way to celebrate than with Lisa on a beautiful fall day?

As the sun was beginning to approach the golden hour, I saw it shining through the trees on a walking path.  I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out, but I figured what is the harm in trying to get a little lens flare?  Well, I think it turned out perfect!  No Photoshop filter needed.  Fall Engagement Session Rochester MI
