Grosse Pointe Academy + Dearborn Inn + Greenfield Village Wedding
How do you describe a wedding when every element of the day seems to be perfect, even down to the bride’s shoes? Perhaps you just let the photos tell the story.
Kimberly got ready with the help of her mom and Maid of Honor at the Grosse Pointe Academy, prior to her ceremony at the same location.
A few doors down and in a calm demeanor, Anthony was also getting ready for his big day.
The chapel at the Grosse Pointe Academy is one of Detroit’s hidden gems for wedding sites.
The long aisle provides a memorable walk for the bride and her dad.
The service was heartfelt and surprisingly, entertaining. The Deacon was energetic and relatable. Kimberly and Anthony even shared some smiles as they exchanged rings.
With an empty church, we were able to magnify the beauty of both the church and Kimberly and Anthony.
Outside of the Grosse Pointe Academy is equally beautiful to shoot.
Speaking of beauty, Kimberly was stunning in her gown.
After the ceremony, we took Greenfield Village wedding formals of the bridal party.
With the bridal party formals completed, it was time to slow down and photograph just the bride and groom. I love all the various backdrops for Greenfield Village wedding photos. So unique and so accessible.
As the crowds emptied out, we had empty streets and the venue all to ourselves.
Shortly after their Greenfield Village wedding photos, we headed down the road to the Dearborn Inn, where their reception was being held.
While guests enjoyed cocktail hour, we toured the grounds and took a few more photos with just the bride and groom.
Is it wrong to have several favorites from their day? This is one of mine. I love how elegant Kimberly looks in the doorway.
As the party continued, we headed outside for one last shot to remember their day by.
