Two years ago, I met with Annette and Travis in a coffee shop to talk about their upcoming wedding. We sat for over two hours and talked about everything except their wedding! (We eventually did get around to business.) I knew over that cup of coffee that not only was their wedding going to be awesome, but so was their marriage. Both Travis and Annette were humble, genuine, and generous people. There is a natural and attractive warmth to them. I knew that the warmth I felt would show itself in their wedding photos; I wasn’t wrong. Annette and Travis had a beautiful wedding at Pontiac’s Lafayette Grand Ballroom. After Annette’s dressing with the help of her daughters and childhood best friend, she and Travis shared a first look at Van Hoosen Farm in Rochester.
The best part about working with Travis and Annette was they made each other laugh, smile, and love candidly. I was just there to click when the photo presented itself.
After the bridal party joined us, it was back to the Lafayette Grand for their ceremony and reception. Lafayette Grande Pontiac Wedding Photography
With every wedding, I try to create art pieces that go beyond what the eye sees. For me, this was one of those pieces. Lafayette Grande Pontiac Wedding Photography
My favorite shot of the night came right at the end. Before packing up my gear, I asked Travis and Annette to join me for a quiet moment in the staircase. Before I could give them directions, I looked down to see this. You can’t ask for much more than that as a photographer.
