Mirage Banquet Hall Wedding

After photographing Jenna and Nick’s engagement session, I knew their wedding was going to be full of laughs and smiles. When they are around each other, it is as if the world melts away and all that is left is the love and joy they bring each other. Jenna and Nick got married at Immanuel Lutheran Church and had their reception at Mirage Banquet Hall. The day was full of touching moments, from Jenna’s first look with her dad all the way to their first dance as husband and wife.

Nick and Jenna decided to keep with tradition and see each other at the altar. Nick was fighting back tears seeing Jenna for the first time. Jenna looked beautiful coming down the aisle.

Before hopping on the party bus, I took Jenna and Nick outside for some photos. The tiniest of hills served as the perfect spot for some timeless photos.

With the bridal party in tow, we headed down to downtown Detroit for some more images.

Last year, Jenna and Nick visited the DIA as members of Alicia and Todd’s bridal party. This time, they were the guests of honor.

After a quick stop at the DIA, we headed over to Jenna’s alma mater of Wayne State for a few more pictures.

So many times throughout the shoot, I would catch Nick making Jenna laugh. I have an inkling this image captures the classic “them.”

Whether it was laughing because they fun she was having or smiling because of the love she was feeling, Jenna was always radiating with Nick.

Finally, it was time to head to the Mirage Banquet Hall for their reception. It was so nice, now that the economy is opening back up, to experience a more “normal” reception. Guest mingled, friends and family reconnected, and everyone showered Jenna and Nick with love and support.
