When it came time to plan Lyndsey and Greg’s wedding day, one thing was noted. “I love nature and pine trees,” Lyndsey told me. It made perfect sense. We photographed their engagement session in the forests surrounding Shepard’s Hollow Golf Course, yielding some beautiful, nature-filled images. Their Oak Arbor Church wedding would follow suit. Nestled in a valley of trees, the back of the church is nearly all glass, providing guests a view of nature. Even their first look and bridal party photos would use Michigan’s beautiful fall colors as a backdrop.
Lyndsey and Greg’s day was as perfect as it gets. Lyndsey’s day quietly started off at Palazzo Grande, where she got ready and shared a first look with her dad.
Soon after, Greg was patiently waiting nearby to see his bride. Greg didn’t stop smiling after seeing Lyndsey.
I really love photos like the one of Greg and Lyndsey below. Photos where emotions shine through and I am not just taking a picture, but capturing a moment.
After spending some time together, it was time for their Oak Arbor Church wedding. The church was filled with family and friends as Greg and Lyndsey committed their lives to each other.
Following the ceremony, we headed to Stony Creek with the bridal party to take some photos before celebrating all night at Palazzo Grande.
One of the things I noticed from my time with Lyndsey and Greg is there is a calmness between them when it is just the two of them. Greg is quiet and supportive while Lyndsey looks at Greg with tenderness and love. It was really beautiful to witness these moments on their wedding day.
Guests were excited and waiting patiently to bring in the bride and groom.
After a round of hilarious and heartfelt speeches, it was time to celebrate.
Congratulations Greg and Lyndsey! Best wishes on your marriage journey.
